Priorities USA

Regardless of the popular vote, everybody knew the 2020 presidential election would be decided by just a few states and a small margin of votes. So, Priorities USA (a progressive super PAC) created a digital program that targeted undecided Trump voters — who would let him get away with untruths — but were willing to change their minds when presented with facts affecting their personal issues, like healthcare costs, wages, racial inequality, and coronavirus. Fortunately, Biden and Harris won 7 out of 9 battleground states.

In the 2020 cycle, we identified a clear path for the Democratic Party to reach 270 electoral votes by understanding the importance of undecided, Latino voters in battleground states. Knowing they were exposed to online misinformation, we focused on digital campaigns addressing the real issues at play by discrediting their motives of manipulation. And it worked!
